In 1993, Enterprise opened its first office outside the United States in Windsor, Ontario. Soon after, we expanded throughout Canada and to the United Kingdom, Ireland and Germany. Most recently, we expanded our U.S. operations into Puerto Rico. Today, Enterprise has more than 900 international car rental branches with more than 8,200 employees. Each of Enterprise's international offices operates with the same commitment to its community as our U.S. locations do. This means we hire locally, buy our cars locally, and provide comprehensive services to neighborhoods.

Like Enterprise's car rental operations in the U.S., our international offices primarily serve the home-city market, providing cars to individuals who need a temporary replacement vehicle, to local businesses for corporate travel purposes, to fleet-management companies for temporary transportation needs, and to local dealerships and service shops for loaner purposes.
